贝塔是母的，舒克是公的。母龟（体型）更大，公龟较小。没想到母的咬死公的，现在我只剩下贝塔了。
贝塔的龟壳是椭圆形的，相当粗糙，摸起来凹凸不平，像火星上掉下来的陨石，又好像三角龙一样有凸起的骨头，仿佛从古代一直生存到现在的生物一般。壳上带着一股古老悠久的味道，连壳的颜色都很般配，是深棕色的，跟古董简直一模一样。
贝塔它（几乎）什么都不吃，难得吃一点猪肉。（这样）它竟然活过了一个寒冷刺骨的冬天，太厉害啦！我喜欢我的小贝塔。
贝塔一直想从自己的小缸里爬出来。每次它四脚朝天的时候，只要脖子伸长，在平地上一顶，就成功翻回来了，真是聪明！
