同学看不起他，老师看不起他，只因为他那个不争气的爸爸。他爸是个小偷，而他们村一向以诚实守信着称。全村一致认为他的父亲是全村的耻辱，败类!他的爸爸进了监狱，母亲离家出走，他也就成了全村攻击的对象。如今，他只能和年迈的奶奶相依为命。
上课受冷漠，下课受嘲笑，他仅有的一点自尊心被彻底击垮。心底便莫名地冒出轻声的想法。
后来，升到高年级后，他们班换了班主任。没过几天，奶奶去世了。他的心中如被原子弹洗礼后般死寂。他终于没了牵挂，觉得可以安心地走了。
班主任找到了他，说是要收养他。他的心被微微地颤动了。
