th story’s name  “the little prince”。 as it known to all, we will encounter a lot of difficulties, even hardships. different people may have different ways to deal with them. after reading the little princess, i am deeply impressed by sara’s way to deal with difficulties. the little princess was written by frances hodgson burnett, a famous novelt and dramatt. sara, the heroine of the novel, was born in a rich family. in order to get a better education, her father took her from india to london so that she could go to the best school. because sara was kind-hearted, generous and most of all—rich, she was loved by everyone. all went well until her father died in an accident. everything changed completely. she didn’t understand why the teachers and classmates treated her so badly. even the principal who used to be fond of her, made her work 16 hours a day. sara’s merable life began.when i finhed reading the book, i was shocked by what the unimaginable pain sara had suffered after her father’s death. she used to be a happy, worriless, and rich princess, but now she was a lonely and poor servant. she had to work very hard without any rest but only had little food. besides she had to endure the unfriendly and even rude ways that her classmates treated her. all teachers and students in the school looked down upon her. the most important fact  that sara had lost the love and care of her parents.what a mighty pain! if you were sara, could you stand such pain? needless to say, an 11 years old girl, even if it were an adult, he might not put up with it. but to my surpre, sara faced it bravely.

despite of the torture of the principal and all those pressures above, she still was optimtic towards life. by reading th novel, i felt inspired and think much. when we meet such difficulties, what should we do? some people always complain that the fate  unfair to them. some people can’t sustain the hardships and choose to give up. few of them even try to commit suic ide because they lack the courage to overcome it. compared with sara—an eleven years old girl who can treat the pressure of life with optimtic spirit, these people’s performances are sounded so lamentable. why can’t they make it?however, what impress me most are her charactertics and the thought of her “being a real princess.” th “real princess” does not mean luxury palaces, beautiful clothes and the apple of the others’ eyes, but being kind, generous and having good manners. it  unnecessary for “a real princess” to be strong in body, but she must be strong in will. sara  a real princess in my heart all the time, whether she was rich and wore beautiful clothes in the classroom or she was cold and hungry in the attic, just because she had the good characters and kind heart. the story went on. fortunately, a friend of sara’s father found her and told her that her father left a great sum of money to her. i pray and believe that every good person in the world deserve a good result, and of course, we are the same.

"jane eyre" has been published since 87 years, and has been in the past many years. time does not affect his light. today he is still a great work. in the history of literature, many of the classic masterpiece will be immortal, but can look like "jane eyre" so deeply into people's souls, it has attracted tens of thousands of readers with an irresistible beauty, affecting people's spiritual world, even for some people, the work affects their lives not many.

jane eyre is a novel with autobiography, which explains the theme of human value = dignity + love.

the author of this book, charlotte bronte and emily, the author of wuthering heights, are sisters. though they live in the same living environment, they are quite different from their family environment. charlotte's character is gentle, pure, and he likes to pursue some beautiful things more. although she was poor in her family, she had little care from her parents, and she was not so beautiful and stature. but perhaps it is such a deep inferiority in soul, which reflects a very sensitive self-esteem in her character, and takes self-esteem as the compensation for her inferiority.

her description of jane's love is also a beautiful, small woman, but she has a very strong pride. she is unswervingly pursuing a good life.

jane eyre, living in an orphaned, happy environment, grew up under treatment with peers, abandoned aunt, cousin of contempt, insults and beatings cousin the ruthless trample on a child's dignity, but perhaps it is because of all this, jane love unlimited confidence and a firm and inflexible spirit, which can overcome the inherent personality

unfortunately, in the study life, jane. love is still suffering from corporal punishment and mental disability. school donor rocor hearst not only when all the teachers and students face to defame her and put her shame on the stage show. she was ashamed in front of the whole school. but jane. love is firm and inflexible, turn grief into strength, not only the rapid progress in learning, but also made the teachers and students to understand. soon, jane. love has fallen into the whirlpool of love. her strong personality and also keep personal dignity, is great lady rival in front, favorably, overbearing for miss ingram, she was calm in the face. similarly, in front of rochester, she never because he is an inferior status of the family teachers feel inferior, she thinks they are equal. it should not be because she is a servant, but not to be respected by others. it is also because of her integrity, noble and pure, the soul is not polluted by the secular society. rochester zican are made of dirty, at the same time respect for her and deeply in love with her. he was sincere and moved her, and she accepted him. later, jane. love found that rochester had a wife, her self-esteem again appeared, without hesitation, she left him, her love for the exclusive, let me admire.

the ending of the novel is perfectly happy. although the manor of rochester was destroyed by his mad wife, his eyes were blind, and became a disabled person. but this is the fact that jane is no longer in contradiction between dignity and love, but at the same time, he is happy.

the novel tells us that the most wonderfull life is human dignity and love, i really appreciate the author of this wonderful life ideal - is the dignity and love, after all, in today's society, the person's value = dignity + love this formula to pay to achieve often cannot do without the help of money. choose between rich and poor, choose between love and no love. few people will abandon everything for love, like jane, and do not care.

in the face of setbacks, we should have a "thousand mill strike" ambition, as long as there is hope, do not give up, stand up, continue to move forward, because, after all the journey to buy a return ticket. the test of thousands of setbacks has created our persistent character, molded our strong will and trained our excellent skills and paved the way for us to succeed. in the setback, we have a little bit of strength, step by step to the glory. let us full of "fate by the throat" of the lofty sentiments and aspirations to challenge setbacks, overcome setbacks!

“pride and prejudice ", a novel a pleasure to behold, a beautiful and moving story.

the article describes a number of daughters bo nate story. ji-an eldest daughter, gentle kind-hearted, beautiful keren, bentley and rich kids at first sight, but at the crucial moment has brought a twist. second daughter, elizabeth, qingli intelligent, ambitious, assertive, consistent with the property of the nobility million youth met darcy. can be as arrogant darcy eccentric, elizabeth for his prejudice are serious, they love but refuse to recognize the obvious, but also continue to hurt each other with words, but fortunately dispelled the last mistake, married lovers.

reading this novel, i have benefited greatly. in our people, there are many very modest, but there are some arrogant people. these arrogant people who sometimes annoying, they have eyes in the head long, others are dismissive. indeed, the arrogance is a shortcoming in the environment to develop a character. chinese children from an early age by their parents as holding typical "little emperors." if so has been from small to large, how could it not arrogant? so i think that we should not be arrogant people who have prejudices, but the more soul-searching myself, to see if they have not arrogant, after their own things to learn to no longer allow parents to worry about, tired.

as the book said: "heart of pride in everyone. as long as we have so a little bit of strength, they will feel especially great. but pride and vanity while the same meaning, but in real terms in different kinds of self-pride is a feeling, vanity will need to involve other people overestimate their own, so people have a pride without vanity, which is justifiable.

wuthering heights was written by emily bronte, published in 1847.but at that time, it seemed that the book was neither popular nor disliked among people, but left out by the public with only a little mixed comments. however it became famous at last, though i don’t know why; i just came across with the book in the bookstore and somehow bought and shelved it on the top of my bookshelf until the book review homework came to me. consequently the book didn’t give me a splendid fist impression, at least not better than jane iyre, which is always talked about and complimented among girls. however, after reading the book, the “never judge a book from its cover”theory was deeply rooted in my heart. the meaning of“cover ”here is not only limited to the coated paper that protects the book and attracts readers, but also the public comments on the book. i seldom hear of comments on wuthering heights, so i thought matter-of-factly that the book would be a boring stuff; however i was totally wrong.

wuthering heights demonstrates us a life profile in a deformed society, the distorted humanity in this society and various dreading events resulted from it, by the hand of a tragic love story. actually the whole plot of the story can be divided into four parts which develops gradually: the first part narrates the childhood of catherine and heathcliff who lived together all the time, the special feeling in the special environment between an orphan and a miss, and the revolt against the tyranny of hindley earnshaw. the second part focuses on catherine betrayed heathcliff, married linton edgar and became the hostess of thrushcross grange. in the third part, the author uses a lot of time emphasizing on how did desperate heathcliff turn the hostility in his chest into the practical plan and action to revenge. although there’s nothing else important except the death of heathcliff in the last part, the revival of humanity of heathcliff after he saw the love between young catherine and hareton was prominently demonstrated, which make readers feel warm and relieved after the breathtaking desperation at last. the love, hatred, revenge and humanity recovery, hence, is the essence as well as an uniting thread of the whole novel.

emily condensed her painstaking efforts on the image portrayal of heathcliff, to whom she placed all of her indignation, sympathy and ideal. the orphan who was exploited of all the warmth he deserved cultivated strong emotion of love and hostility in his life; the mistreatment of hindley taught him about the cruelty of the life, as well as yielding to his miserable fate silently. however, he chose to revolt with catherine, who was his devoted partner, an genuine love germinated between them in the proceeding of resistance. however, catherine at last betrayed heathcliff and married a man she didn’t love at all. the immediate cause of this tragic love story is her ignorance and vanity, as a result buried her own love, her own youth, her own life, her own heathcliff, even almost her own children. when emily portrays the image of catherine, her sympathy as well as wrath was apparently expressed; she was grievous for her unfortune but angry for her flaccidity at the same time, her emotion towards catherine was full of contradiction. the biggest turning point of the whole story is the betrayal of catherine and her miserable life after her marriage, which turned heathcliff’s love into engraved hatred; and this hatred exploded and became the motivation to revenge for himself after catherine’s death. his aim achieved: not only did he tortured hindley and edgar until they died and monopolized two manors, but the next generation was also suffered from his flame of vengeance. the crazy abreaction of wrath and hostility seemed to contradict with common sense but expressed his extraordinary rebellious spirit which was moulded by the special environment. the tragedy of heathcliff was a tragedy of the society as well as the whole era.

wuthering heights ended with the suicide of heathcliff after his purpose of revenge had achoeved. in my opinion, his death was the last expression of his love for catherine--at least they were together after they died. what’s more, he abandoned his plan to mistreat the next generation before his death, which showed his good nature distorted by the cruel reality. the revival of humanity illustrates emily’s noble humanitarian ideals.

wuthering heights has been regarded as “the most peculiar novel” on the english literature history due to the subversion of the sentimentalism style which was popular at that time, replacing pale melancholy with strong love and violent hatred and the ruthless revenge occured from them. it is just like a special lyric poem with abundant imagination and smashing emotion, and full of artistic power to strike people’s heart.

“i am the only being whose doom, no tongue would ask no eye would mourn; i never caused a thought of gloom, a smile of joy since i was born. in secret pleasure - secret tears, this changeful life has slipped away; as friendless after eighteen years, as lone as on my natal day.” this poem from emily bronte perfectly demonstrates the desperate loneliness of her. different from his sister who created a world for everyone, she created a world for herself. on the wuthering field without anyone, she was also bursting her passion and youth, like a volcano with overwhelming power. emily never curried favor with the aesthetic orientation of the public, she was extremely sensitive but also firm and resolute as a man. there was a classic remark on her character by virginia woolf: “emily was inspired by some more general conception. the impulse which urged her to create was not her own suffering or her own injuries. she looked out upon a world cleft into gigantic disorder and felt within her the power to unite it in a book.”

emily had got a kind of power form the loneliness in her own world. she solely stood out of the square forever, viewing the whole world with her indifferent but warm eyes. the observation had given wuthering heights an incomparable power which made us dread, excited and moved.

“my great miseries in this world have been heathcliff's miseries, and i watched and felt each from the beginning: my great thought in living is himself. if all else perished, and he remained, i should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger: i should not seem a part of it. my love for linton is like the foliage in the woods: time will change it, i'm well aware, as winter changes the trees. my love for heathcliff resembles the eternal rocks beneath: a source of little visible delight, but necessary. nelly, i am heathcliff! he's always, always in my mind: not as a pleasure, any more than i am always a pleasure to myself, but as my own being.” this is the most moving part to me. the love between catherine and heathcliff was so incredible that they engraved themselves so deeply in each other’s spirit. emily constantly searched for a way, a way to love over secularity and morality. the woman was doomed to be alone all her life because there would be no man can understand her splendid grief, there would be no strength can overwhelm the mysterious power from her spirit.

she was just like a hazy moonstone.

catherine to some extent mabe the most bliss heroine. she found and was loved forever by another herself, she said,”i’m heathcliff.”

salute to the extraordinary emily, as well as the extraordinary wuthering heights.

the woman pays

tess is really a tragic figure in the book tess of the dsquo;urberwilles.

she was seduced by a so-called gentleman—alec, and from then on her life totally changed from this loss of innocence. people looked down on her and respected her no more. actually she did nothing wrong because before she was seduced she knew nothing of men. she was just a girl when she first met that terrible man.

she was forced by the gossips and the church to blame herself for this accident, so she thought she deserved nothing good. in order to get rid of the past she decided to go to a distant dairy farm but was still saying to herself that she was wrong. maybe god didnsquo;t agree with that, because the lord gave her someone she loved with her whole heart and life—angel chare. angel popped the question to her but she refused him without saying why. she said she loved him deeply and perhaps no one in the world could love him more than she did but she could not marry him for some unspoken reason. angel wasnsquo;t satisfied with this vague answer and did his best to win tess. somehow she agreed and they soon fixed the wedding day. soon after their wedding angel confessed the crime he committed to a woman long time ago and asked for tesssquo;s forgiveness. tess was not at all angry and forgave angel at once; in fact she was rather happy and excited for she also had things to confess.

she sat and told everything to angel, hoping he would forgive her as he was forgiven but she was wrong. she was not forgiven, not as she thought she was. the woman pays.

without angelsquo;s love, nothing meant anything to her. the result wasnsquo;t important now. tess was arrested for her murder of that so-called gentleman. why? she still loved angel and when he finally went back to her and asked for her forgiveness, after he regretted what he had done unfair to tess, she was desperate. that was too late—alec had always told tess that angel would never come back so he won tesssquo;s trust. unluckily angel did come back and found tess.! everything was too late!

tess was deceived and she lost angel for the second time! the strengh of her love was so strong that she had forgotten the difference between right and wrong. before that she had done nothing wrong but when she killed alec, everything really changed! she became a criminal! how could it be? she was as pure and innocent as the good wife in the bible. her whole character was honest and faithful. angel figured out at last that a person should be judged not only on what he has done but also on what he wanted to do!

tess didnsquo;t want to be seduced by man and she had no power to defend herself so she lost her innocence and thatsquo;s all! angel also did the wrong thing and it was even more serious than tesssquo;s crime but he was not blamed for it. why it is always the woman who pays? why they are always hurt? why was tesssquo;s girlish purity lost? why does the wrong man take the wrong woman? why do the bad often ruin the good? why is beauty damaged by ugliness? women are too weak! thousands of years of history have shown us that women have always been treated unfairly!

in old china there was a culture, which didnsquo;t think of women as human beings. if you asked one if he was the oldest in his family, he would probably answer the oldest one even if he had some elder sisters. if you asked why then he would say, ha, they are not included!

people gave birth to many girls in order to have only one boy to keep the family name going. they thought girls had no use for the family. they would be married and go to live with their husbandssquo; home and be their wives some day sooner or later. so they were extremely hard on girls.

girls should be hard working, faithful, loyal, intelligent, and virtuous and the most important thing was she must be a maiden! if her husband was the first man who touched her then she was a good girl, a good wife no matter how she thought. if she wasnsquo;t, then she would gain a very bad reputation and nobody would dare to go near her. what about men? people did not care whether he was an experienced man or not, nor did they care about his character. they thought man equals power and power equals rights…

now letsquo;s not be so bitter. nowadays womensquo;s situations have become much better. some are because of the change of society and some are because of civilization. just let those poor painful women like tess be just a memory.
